• User-friendly wiring;
  Encoders and actuators are connected via two separate 20-pin front connectors.
• LEDs:
  Red fault LED (group fault);
  green LEDs for indicating the status of the digital inputs;
  yellow LED for indicating backup operation
• High-performance measured data acquisition:
  The module has 4 analog inputs for analog value acquisition and disturbance variable input as well as 1 additional analog input for temperature compensation when used with thermocouples.
• Various encoders can be used:
  Thermocouples, Pt 100, voltage encoders, current encoders.
• Extensive I/O:
  • FM 355-2 C:
    4 analog outputs for analog final control elements;
  • FM 355-2 S:
    8 digital outputs for motorized actuators or binary controlled actuators.
    The 24 V DC supply for the actuators is applied externally.
• Resolution and accuracy:
  The A-to-D conversion has 14-bit resolution and greater accuracy than in the case of FM 355.
  This is an advantage especially when using thermocouples.
