How it works

The module allows the use of the HART protocol. The HART jobs can be initiated remotely for each channel through PROFIBUS DP.

Generally speaking this is handled from a central configuring station (e.g. PDM), which can be connected to PROFIBUS DP if desired.

Thus a far greater number of options are available than with a handheld terminal or a configuring system which must be connected locally.

Parameterization

Remote parameterization of HART transducers and actuators using PDM via PROFIBUS DP. It is still possible to parameterize the HART devices with a handheld terminal.
