HART is a serial transfer procedure which is used to transfer additional parameter data, such as measurement ranges, damping, etc. to the connected measuring transducer through a 4 to 20 mA current loop. The HART module allows the use of the HART protocol.

All transducers and actuators which have been certified for communication using the HART protocol can be connected to the module.

In addition, conventional field devices with 4 to 20 mA technology without HART protocol can also be connected.
