The analog input modules convert analog signals from the process into digital signals for internal processing in the controller.
The modules feature:
Resolution from 9 to 15 bits + sign (with different conversion times), can be parameterized.
Different measurement ranges; the default setting of the current/voltage ranges is set mechanically using measuring range modules, the fine adjustment is performed with STEP 7 "Hardware configuration" via PG.
Interrupt capability; the module sends diagnostic and limit-value interrupts to the CPU of the controller.
Diagnostics; the module sends extensive diagnostic information to the CPU.
