Extension Units for 16:9 PRO devices

Extension Units are characterized by:

• availability in four different sizes respectively for the 12", 15", 19" and 22" PRO devices.
• Three connection options per size:
  • Hardwired, PROFINET and PROFIsafe
  • Large selection of operator controls
  • Complete flexibility in the layout of operator controls
  • Fast cabling thanks to preassembled cable harness and connectors

Additional properties of the PROFINET and PROFIsafe Extension Units:

• Intuitive and easy configuration in TIA Portal V14 or higher
• 2x Ethernet interfaces for sitting up line and ring networks without ext. switch (integral switch)
• Support of the Media Redundancy Protocol (MRP) in order to increase availability

Additional properties of the PROFIsafe Extension Units:

• Integrated safety functionality
• Error-free transmission of safety-related signals from up to two emergency stop buttons to the fail-safe controller
• Fail-safe operation up to SIL 3 (Safety Integrity Level) according to IEC 61508
