CMS X?Tools permit data acquisition on SIMATIC S7, SIMATIC TDC and SIMOTION. The acquisition of numeric bus data from PROFIBUS DP is also possible reaction-free without additional bus configuration operations. Diagnostic results and analytical data can be sent from CMS X?Tools by means of TCP/IP coupling to a controller, for example.

Starting of CMS X?Tools using a command line permits easy integration of plant monitoring into SCADA applications.

Analysis and data processing

By means of CMS X?Tools, analysis models and analysis scripts can be applied to either online or offline data. Analysis scripts can be processed equidistant, event-driven, or sequentially.

Functions for data reduction are available for data recording. An option can be selected to ensure recording in the ring buffer only takes place when a measured value changes, for example. Partial or compressed loading and saving of measured data in/from files is also possible for faster processing.

Visualization
