Distributed command devices of the 3SB3 series can be quickly connected to the AS-Interface using AS-Interface enclosures. Using suitable components you can make your own enclosures with integrated AS-Interface or flexibly modify existing enclosures.

The enclosures with integrated AS-Interface are equipped with control blocks and LED lampholders with spring-type terminals from the 3SB3 series along with the slave(s) required to connect the contact blocks and lampholders to AS-Interface.

AS-Interface modules, cable sets and a connection element are required in addition to connect the control blocks and LED lampholders.

AS-Interface slaves

The following slave types are available:

• Slave in A/B technology with 4 inputs and 3 outputs
• Slave with 4 inputs and 4 outputs
• F slave with 2 safe inputs

The following table shows the maximum number of equippable slaves:

1) For metal enclosures with 4 command points, only 1 x slave 4I/4O or 4I/3O is possible.
