The SIMATIC PCS 7 Condition Monitoring Library (CML) expands the functionality of the SIMATIC PCS 7 Advanced Process Library (APL) with blocks for monitoring and analyzing mechanical assets (plant components such as pumps, valves, etc.). The CML blocks serve to increase the efficiency and availability of specific plant components and to detect any damage at an early stage.

The SIMATIC PCS 7 Condition Monitoring Library initially includes the following blocks:

• PumpMon for monitoring centrifugal pumps
• VlvMon for monitoring control valves
• PST for the online valve test without interfering with production
