Operating system downgrade

SIMATIC PCS 7 Industrial Workstations V7.1 are delivered with the following operating system licenses:

• Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit with ES/OS Single Station and OS Client
• Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition 64-bit including 5 CALs with OS Server

This does not mean, however, that SIMATIC PCS 7 V7.1 (including service pack) has also been approved for these operating systems.

Only the Windows XP Professional 32-bit and Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition 32-bit including 5 CALs operating systems continue to be preinstalled and used on SIMATIC PCS 7 Industrial Workstations V7.1, with a license downgrade for the operating system.
